Erasmus Exchange Programme

Erasmus+ is an EU programme which is conducted by Turkish National Agency for encouraging higher education institutions to cooperate with each other. The communication between European Commission and the universities awarded with ECHE in Turkey is carried out by Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry’s State Planning Organization and Centre for EU Education and Youth Programmes (National Agency). European Commission awards grant to the students who are eligible to benefit from the programme, and in this way makes economic contribution to the exchange mobility. All the universities in Turkey which are eligible to carry out Erasmus mobility activity inform the number of candidate students for the upcoming year to the National Agency and request grant accordingly. National Agency then evaluates the grant requests of Turkish universities and communicates them to the European Commission.
